Making Change or Correction to your incorporation documents:
Depending on the State you can have access to different filings in order to correct, change or amend any clause of your incorporation documents. In some states, the Articles of Correction are used to correct incomplete documents, correct an incorrect statement in a document or to correct a document that was defectively signed, sealed or acknowledged. This form cannot be used to make changes or amendments to any documents. The Articles of Amendment should be used to amend the Certificate of Incorporation for a Corporation or Articles of Organization for an LLC, when in need to change or update the directors, managers, members, business name, purpose statement, business address, dissolution date, or other relevant information. This filing process is an effective tool to maintain a company in good standing with the Department of State by updating important information. The Certificate of Change is used to update the service of process address, change the county location and most importantly to change the registered agent information.
